The Central Library of Union Christian College, Aluva, organized a reading program in connection with International Read to Me Day on 19 March 2026 at 12:30 PM. The event aimed to promote the joy of reading aloud and to inspire imagination among students.
The program was inaugurated by the College Manager, Dr. K. P. Ouseph, who set a meaningful tone by reading from the Malayalam book “Daaham Theeratha Malsyam” by Jalaludeen Rumi. His reading highlighted the importance of literature in nurturing empathy and creativity.
A total of 19 students actively participated in the program. Each participant took turns to read aloud from their chosen texts, showcasing their reading skills and enthusiasm for literature. The session created an engaging and interactive atmosphere, encouraging students to express themselves confidently.
