A Workshop on Research Informatics, Plagiarism Control and Publishing was jointly organized by the Central Library, IEDC, IIC, Research Forum, IPR Cell and CSDCCP with Academic Library Association on 11/09/2025 at T B Ninan Hall. The programme commenced at 9.30 a.m. with a welcome address by Ms. Chithra Ashok, Librarian, U.C. College. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Simi Pushpan K, IQAC Coordinator followed by felicitation from Dr. Jibin Jose Mathew, Nodal Officer, IEDC. The workshop was inaugurated by the resource person, Prof. (Dr.) A. T. Francis, Professor and Chief Librarian, Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, who also led the technical sessions. In his sessions, Prof. Francis elaborated on significant areas including Research informatics, Scientific misconduct, Publication ethics and publishing, Similarity and plagiarism control, Copyright, IPR filing, research and project grants, AI tools for reference management and scientific writing. The sessions were highly interactive and gave participants practical insights into maintaining academic integrity and improving the quality of research publications. A total of 110 students participated in the workshop, along with faculty members and researchers from various departments. The active involvement of participants made the event lively and meaningful. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a fruitful academic gathering that enriched participants with valuable knowledge on research ethics and scholarly communication.
